Questions about New Arrivals: Next-Gen PDR Innovation

About these tools

What is new in this collection?

Recent additions cover rods, slide hammers, glue tools and knockdowns. Examples are 10 mm stainless rods with welded oval, spoon and square heads, Kangaroo trigger and Scorpion push-spring slide hammers, DentPDR cold glue, glue cutters and a 210 cm aluminum roof rod.

What head shapes do the new 10 mm head rods have?

All heads are permanently welded to the shaft. Options are a 50 x 25 mm horizontal oval, a 70 x 35 mm wide oval (straight or vertical), a 50 x 25 mm oval spoon, and square heads 50 mm tall that widen from 43 to 48 mm.

How does the Kangaroo trigger slide hammer work?

Press the pin on the side and the spring-loaded mechanism fires the pull automatically, so you can glue pull one-handed on roofs, hoods and other hard-to-reach areas. It comes as Short, Long and Duo sets.

What sizes are the Scorpion push-spring slide hammers?

The Short model extends from 25 to 35 cm and weighs about 700 g. The Long model extends from 35 to 50 cm and weighs about 900 g. Both work with hot and cold glue and come with a carrying case and 4 tabs.

Which new knockdown tools were added?

Four knockdown tools are new. The DentPDR stainless steel and colored aluminum knockdown tools are 12 cm with 3.5, 4.5 and 5.5 mm tips, and the lightweight aluminum knockdown pen and the ultra-light aluminum knockdown come in M8 or 5/16.

Are there new whale tail tools?

Yes. Single whale tails with a 5 cm flat blade come in 10, 20, 40, 60 and 100 cm, and the Qaanaaq and Tromsø 30 mm sets are also new. The full range is in the whale tail collection.

Which new complete rod sets were added?

Four complete rod sets are new. Malaga has 55 pieces in AISI 630 stainless with four 360-degree swivel-handle rods, Monaco has 25 interchangeable pieces with a carrying case, Tiran has 29 pieces with a tool bag and Kassel is a 10-piece modular set.

Is there a new reflector board?

Yes. The DentPDR 25 cm round foldable reflector board has high-contrast parallel lines, a lightweight polyester build and needs no power. A Foldable Dent Reflector Line Board was also added.

Choosing the right tool

Straight, double-bend or 155-degree curved: which shaft?

Straight shafts give direct force transfer. Double-bend shafts have two 152-degree bends to offset around internal reinforcements, and 155-degree curved shafts add clearance behind curved or obstructed panels. All are 10 mm stainless steel.

What is the difference between sets with and without T-handles?

Sets with an integrated T-handle come in 61, 81 and 101 cm. Sets without one come in 62, 87 and 107 cm. Each is sold as a short, medium or long single rod or as the 3-piece set.

Which head shape suits which dent?

Wide oval heads spread pressure for broad low spots, crowns and sensitive areas. Vertical heads keep a narrower side profile for elongated low spots and body lines, and the spoon head has a narrower profile than square or wide oval heads.

Which DentPDR cold glue should I choose?

Choose the 1°C to +50°C version for warm and hot weather and the -15°C to +30°C version for cold conditions. Both are 20 g, flame-free and activated by stretching and kneading by hand, with no glue gun needed.

What is the difference between the Lille and Tashkent glue cutters?

Both are stainless steel with a double-sided blade: fine teeth on one side, wider teeth on the other. Lille has an adjustable rotating handle in 60 or 90 cm; Tashkent has a T-shaped handle in 40, 60 or 90 cm.

Which new tools hold panels or support rods?

The Door, Hood and Trunk Fixing Tool holds panels steady and comes in 30 cm, 50 cm or a 2-piece set. The Adjustable Leverage Support Tool clamps in door and trunk openings to give a rod a stable leverage point, in four lengths.

What options does the Monaco set have?

The Monaco set has 21 interchangeable rods and 4 handles. You choose White Spring Steel or AISI 630 stainless steel, and 5/16 or Metric 8 thread.

Should I choose spring steel or stainless steel?

Both offer similar flexibility and hardness. Stainless rods are lower maintenance; uncoated spring steel can surface-rust over time unless you wipe it down with a light protective oil such as WD-40. If you want zero upkeep, go stainless.

Are these tools only for professionals?

They are designed for professional PDR technicians, but trainees and newly qualified users work with the same range. Tell us your level and we will point you to the right starting set.

Use and care

How does the 210 cm aluminum roof rod set work?

It is a 25 mm aluminum rod in four interlocking sections of 84, 56, 42 and 30 cm that combine up to 210 cm. It includes adapters for M8 and 5/16 tips and 2 tips.
