About these tools

What are the Kars Edition question-mark rods for?

Their hook curvature gives leverage behind door skins, deep roof rails and internal pillars where straight rods cannot reach. The set has 10 rods in 6, 8 and 10 mm diameters.

Why does the Kars set mix two-piece and one-piece rods?

The two-piece rods are easier to transport and maneuver, while the one-piece rods give more stability and pushing force. Having both covers rough corrections and fine finishing.

What is the Amasya Edition set?

A 3-piece set of 8 mm rods with ratchet handles. It has a 35 cm rod and 45 cm rods in two bend variations, and each 360 degree ratchet handle lets you change grip angle without taking the tool out of the access hole.

What is the Bayburt Edition whale tail set used for?

Large dents and hail damage. Its 40 mm whale tail tip spreads pressure across the panel, and the six lengths from 15 to 90 cm work with a 360 degree rotating adjustable arm inside doors, fenders and roofs.

What is the 122 g blending hammer for?

Fine blending, softening transition lines and detailed finish work. It has a mirror-polished stainless steel head and a natural hardwood handle shaped so it does not rotate in the hand.

How does the dent tension kit work?

It stretch-pulls the metal outward through a glue connection. The head turns through 180 degrees, the body is aluminum, and it comes with 3 tension blocks: wide for large areas, high-force for deep dents and narrow for tight creases.

What do the two stands in this collection hold?

The adjustable height rod and tackle stand holds your rods and equipment at a working height you set. The accordion body carrying stand holds panels in open or closed positions and folds for mobile work.

What material options do the rod sets offer?

The Tiran, Bursa, Kars, Navoris, Amasya and Bayburt sets come in White Spring Steel or Stainless Steel; the stainless version is AISI 630 (17-4 PH).

Choosing the right tool

Which complete rod sets are in this collection?

Four complete rod sets. Tiran Edition (29 rods with 360 degree rotatable handles and a tool bag), Bursa Edition (16 rods with a carry bag), Kars Edition (10 question-mark rods) and Navoris Edition (10 single bend rods in left and right).

Tiran Edition or Bursa Edition: what is the difference?

Tiran has 29 rods with 360 degree rotatable handles and a custom tool bag. Bursa has 16 rods from 45 to 90 cm in 6 to 10 mm diameters, each labeled and color-coded, with a heavy-duty carry bag.

What sizes are in the Navoris Edition set?

Five sizes, each in a left and a right version. They are 5 mm x 20 cm, 5 mm x 30 cm, 6 mm x 40 cm, 6 mm x 45 cm and 8 mm x 60 cm, all with a sharp tip and a single bend.

Should I choose the 60 cm or the 100 cm tension kit?

Choose 100 cm for reach across large panels and 60 cm for more controlled handling in tighter areas. Both work with hot melt and cold glue pulling systems.

What is the 57 cm slide hammer suited for?

Heavy pulling on collision dents and deep creases with glue tabs. It is heavy-duty steel with a non-slip grip, and its 57 cm length suits a wide range of heavy pulling tasks.

Which tools here are for glue pulling rather than pushing?

The 57 cm slide hammer and the 60 or 100 cm dent tension kit are glue pulling tools. The rod sets, whale tail set and blending hammer are for pushing and finishing.

Which sets here have rotating handles?

Four sets. The Tiran and Bursa Editions have 360 degree rotating handles, the Amasya Edition a 360 degree rotatable ratchet handle, and the Bayburt whale tail set a 360 degree rotating adjustable arm.

Should I choose spring steel or stainless steel?

Both offer similar flexibility and hardness. Stainless rods are lower maintenance; uncoated spring steel can surface-rust over time unless you wipe it down with a light protective oil such as WD-40. If you want zero upkeep, go stainless.

Are these tools only for professionals?

They are designed for professional PDR technicians, but trainees and newly qualified users work with the same range. Tell us your level and we will point you to the right starting set.

Use and care

How do I tell the Bursa Edition rods apart?

Each rod in the Bursa Edition is labeled and color-coded, so you can pick the right diameter and length quickly during a repair.
