5. Legal bases for processing
Where UK or EEA data-protection law applies, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Contract: processing necessary to take steps at your request or perform our contract with you, including orders, payment, delivery and support;
- Legal obligation: processing necessary for tax, accounting, customs, consumer-protection, product-safety, sanctions and law-enforcement requirements;
- Legitimate interests: operating and improving the business, preventing fraud, securing the Site, understanding performance, managing claims and providing relevant non-intrusive communications, balanced against your rights;
- Consent: non-essential cookies, certain advertising, optional profiling and marketing where consent is required; and
- Vital interests or public task: only where the law permits and the circumstances require it.
You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential technologies required for checkout, security, account access, cart operation, language and market settings. With your consent where required, we may also use analytics, preference and advertising technologies.
You can use our cookie-consent controls to accept, reject or change non-essential cookie choices. Browser controls may also block or delete cookies, but some Site functions may then stop working correctly.
Advertising and analytics partners may receive identifiers and Site activity only as permitted by your consent choices and applicable law. Consent signals may include settings relating to advertising storage, analytics storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation.

7. Marketing communications
You can unsubscribe from marketing email by using the unsubscribe link in a message or by contacting us. Service communications about an order, safety issue, legal update or account are not marketing and may continue where necessary.
8. How we share personal information

We do not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws may define certain advertising disclosures as a "sale", "sharing" or targeted advertising. Where those laws apply, you may use our cookie controls or contact us to exercise an applicable opt-out right.
9. Shopify
Our store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes personal information to provide the commerce platform and may act as our processor or as an independent controller for certain activities. More information is available in Shopify's Privacy Policy for Customers.
10. International transfers
We operate internationally and use providers located in several countries. Personal information may therefore be processed outside your country, including in the United Kingdom, Turkey, the European Economic Area, Canada and the United States.
Where required, we use recognised transfer safeguards such as adequacy regulations, standard contractual clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or another lawful transfer mechanism.
EEA privacy requests can be sent directly to BAYNAL LIMITED at support@dentpdr.com. Based on the current nature and scale of our processing, BAYNAL LIMITED does not maintain a separate EEA privacy representative. We will reassess this position if our EEA processing materially changes.
11. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary. Our normal retention periods are:
- Orders, invoices, payments, tax and customs records: 6 years after the end of the relevant financial year, or longer where law or an active dispute requires;
- Returns, warranty and customer-support records: 3 years after the matter is closed, or longer where needed for a legal claim, product-safety issue or statutory guarantee;
- Customer accounts: while the account remains open and normally for up to 3 years after closure, except for transaction records retained separately;
- Marketing subscriptions: until consent is withdrawn or after 24 months of inactivity, with suppression information retained as needed to honour an opt-out;
- Consent and privacy-request records: normally 6 years from the relevant record so that we can demonstrate compliance;
- Security and technical logs: normally up to 12 months unless a security incident requires longer retention;
- Customer reviews and submitted media: while published or until removal is appropriate under our review terms, privacy law or a valid request; and
- Backups: for the applicable backup cycle, normally no more than 90 additional days after deletion from the live system.
We may retain a record for a longer or shorter period where required by law, necessary for product safety, or proportionate to an actual or anticipated legal claim.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and notifying us of suspected unauthorised use.

- Request restriction of processing;
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing;
- Request portability of information you provided;

14. United States and other regional privacy rights
Residents of certain United States states and other jurisdictions may have additional rights to access, correct or delete information, obtain a portable copy, opt out of targeted advertising or certain definitions of sale or sharing, use an authorised agent, or appeal a decision. These rights apply only where the relevant law covers our activities.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Where an authorised agent is permitted, we may require proof of authority and identity.
To exercise a right, email support@dentpdr.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
15. Complaints
Please contact us first so that we can try to resolve your concern. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or to the competent authority in your country.
16. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided information unlawfully, contact us so that we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
